Tuesday, January 12, 2010 PIC & LDAF IEP Workshop: Join LDAF and PIC for a workshop that will help you learn how to ensure your child's IEP contains measurable goals, benchmarks and outcomes. Explore your questions, learn how to draft an effective IEP, and gain skills to become more effective as a parent-advocate in the IEP process. The workshop will be held from 6-8pm at LDAF, 1800 Bay Avenue, Lewes, DE 19958. RSVP at www.picofdel.org/events.asp. Registrations accepted on a first come, first served basis. Saturday, November 7, 2009 5th Annual Most at the Coast Conference, Irish Eyes Restaurant, Lewes, DE, 7:45am-4pm. "Building Skills for Lifelong Success for Students with High Functioning Autism/Asperger Syndrome," presented by Diane Adreon, M.A. Check-in and continental breakfast at 7:45am, speaker begins at 8:30am.

Friday, October 23, 2009 LDAF Blue Jean Ball Fall Art Show at Nassau Valley Vineyards, 7-11pm. Original works of art for sale from local artists, live art auction, showcase of art created by children with autism, hors d'oeuvres by Espuma Restaurant & Martini Bar/Porcini House & Treetop Lounge and the live sounds of Love Seed Mama Jump. Look for our "new artists" section this year! Some of this year's artists include Steve Rogers, Nick Serratore, Tara Funk Grim, Kim Klabe and Ted Mathias. Saturday & Sunday, September 26 & 27, 2009 Tennis Tournament to benefit LDAF at Kings Creek Country Club and/or The Glade. Marty Godwin, Tennis Pro at Kings Creek Country Club will host a tournament on behalf of the Lower Delaware Autism Foundation on September 26th and 27th. Depending on the amount of registrations, the tournament will be held Kings Creek Country Club and/or The Glade. The tournament is open to all players up to level 3.5 and to any doubles combination. The format will be round robin with the winners of the most games deciding the victors. Play will begin Saturday the 26th at 9am and finish both days around 12pm. Saturday, September 12, 2009 24 Hours of Tennis in support of LDAF at the Glade in Rehoboth. Beginning at 7am on Saturday, September 12th, Marty Godwin will play 24 hours of tennis in support of LDAF. A drawing for times will be held at the pre-party on September 9th in which interested players can put their names in for the draw. Times will be given out that night. This event is open to any level of play. All donations will be awarded to the Lower Delaware Autism Foundation.
