SUMMER SWIM PROGRAM
The Summer Swim Program supports
the development of appropriate pool conduct and safety, water and pool
acclimation, physical fitness and muscular development, as well as providing
opportunities for peer to peer social interaction and communication in a safe
and supportive environment. |

ADAPTIVE BIKE PROGRAM
LDAF staff and volunteers work
with facilitators from Lose the Training Wheels, Inc. to help children gain
confidence and skills as they progress through a series of adaptive bikes
towards the goal of riding a bicycle independently. |

MAGIC
OF MUSIC PROGRAM
Children with autism, their
siblings, and parents or caregivers participate in activities including singing,
dancing, focus listening and playing simple instruments to encourage language
use and aural development. |

LDAF DAY CAMP PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN'S
BEACH HOUSE
The LDAF Day Camp Program is
designed to increase self-confidence, improve peer and social interactions, and
encourage campers to discover and pursue their own unique interests and goals.
Activities include kayaking, swimming, low ropes course, arts and crafts,
teambuilding games and more! |

MOST AT THE COAST EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE
LDAF hosts an annual educational
conference and workshop featuring nationally known experts in the field of
autism each November for professionals, educators, psychologists,
speech-language pathologists, and families of children with autism. |

EDUCATIONAL TOYS FOR AUTISM DRIVE
LDAF supports the Sussex
Consortium, Sussex County’s arm of the Delaware Autism Program, by fulfilling a
“Holiday Wish List” of needed educational toys and classroom learning materials. |

SCHOLARSHIPS AND STIPENDS
LDAF encourages the professional
development of educators at the Sussex Consortium through scholarship grants and
provides short term rent stipends to assist with the recruitment of highly
qualified professionals for the school, including speech-language
pathologists and psychologists. |

ADVOCACY, AWARENESS AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS PROGRAM
LDAF is committed to helping
individuals with autism and their families at the state and local level through
active advocacy and awareness efforts. |

Milestone Project
LDAF is working towards a future
filled with hope and opportunity for individuals with autism. We are currently
assessing how to best assist individuals with autism as they transition from
school to life on their own.
